«God’s Sanctuary» manifests most of Veselov’s virtues. It is witty, engrossing, ir-onic & punctuated by transports of spectacular prose. The mancraft scenes are oddly convincing, thanks to their grounding in everymonth detail. As he approaches his middle as a writer, Dmitry Veselov keeps giving evidence, that it is possible to sim-ply get better and better. Veselov is the most genial of writers.
